Peanut the Pear

Here's the newest addition to our college community. We found him hanging helplessly on a tree in the college grounds. As budding vicars, we couldn't pass a pear in distress. He now lives with Helen in Northwood.

So your ministry is bearing fruit already! Will it be going to spring harvest? is it a conference pear?

(runs and hides - I don't need to sign my name - only one person you know has such a corny sense of humour)

I was going to suggest that your course was going pear-shaped, but with a shape like that...

Gosh the pear is getting all the attention. You give it an even break, a chance in life and it takes over, steals the lime light. It will be trying for ordination before you know it!

Peanut deserves the attention because he's getting softer with every day that passes.... :-(
