Update
This is a brief update for all of you who prayed (thank you for praying by the way!). The meeting went exceedingly crap, nothing I could say was right, he acted like a self rightous prig, patronised me unbelievably and basically reduced me to jelly (not that I let him see that - didn't give him the satisfaction). I drove back, went into the church and for an hour did what Jesus tells us to do - prayed for my enemies. Then I went to see my vicar, dissolved on him for about 45 minutes and went on to some friends' house, dissolved on them.Off to bed now.

I was so sad to hear all of this, you have put your heart into this and to be put down in this way is horrid beyond belief. But even though you are wounded now I know you'll get through. God will heal you and continue to build you up. He has great plans for you. May God heal you and then lead you on in His mighty strength.

Just remember that Jesus is bigger than some CoE bloke! Way bigger!
God has amazing plans for you and it's natural to feel down about them now, but try to pick yourself up and know that people all around the world care about you and are praying for you.

I'm just curious.....did he flat out tell you "NO...go home and try again next year"?
Was he being a jerk to see how bad you wanted it and how you would stand up to him? I know you've got the guts and gusto to let him have it with both barrels.
I hope you left a really good impression on him that you are not about to let the opinion of one man stand in the way of God's calling and your dream.
God's gonna get you through this.
Just remember that every light casts a shadow and the shadow of darkenss in the valley you are trudging through right now may just be from the glorious light of blessing waiting for you on the next mountain top! Don't let that shadow defeat you.....let it cool and refresh you as you continue to climb into that light.
Besides...what does the opinion of a mere mortal man matter when God is the one you need to be listening to.
