Party Animals
So I really really milked this birthday. After all, it's the big 3-o!!! I had a party in Crawley a couple of weeks back, with two other thirties, and with all the lovely people from church there and a few extra friends here and there. Then on Thursday, the two lovely girlies Ellie and Helen (I love you gals!!) organised a paahteeh for me in the common room at college. Here's what happened there:
As you can see, we ban alcohol at the college. After all, we are all being trained to be good, upright citizens of the kingdom of heaven. Here, you can see me with a glass of Ribena.
Here you can see the three of us just about to start our weekly prayer and fasting time, which we do three days out of seven. We are held accountable for this by our respective fellowship group tutors.
Of course, we don't believe in the pleasures of the flesh, so this cake is only representative. It's made of cardboard (good imitation isn't it?). The money we saved will go to a worthwhile charity.
Then on Friday, my parents arrived. We went out for a lovely meal on Friday night, and then I joined them for breakfast at the hotel on Saturday morning. Oh and on Saturday night we went out for another lovely meal, and I also joined them for a full cooked English breakfast this morning. I only had some soup for dinner tonight, because I just couldn't face any more food.
So now, back to the grindstone. Less of this cavorting and partying. Life, after all, is a serious affair. There'll be enough laughter in heaven.

Glad you had a good time, despite your rigorously ascetic regime. Virtue is,of course, its own reward. "Happy Birthday Katrin"
Hi Kat,
