Recent Movements

Lately, I have surprised myself with the discovery that I am starting to like college. I love the people here, we have some real fantastic Christians and leaders in this college. If this is the future of the Church of England, then I have hope.

I am concerned though, that this might mean that I am becoming anglicanised. ;-)

I sincerely hope that I will, first and foremost, stay a follower of Jesus who wants to share his amazing love with others. Anything else isn't important. And, actually, the trappings that come with that aren't important either. So, in other words, if I have to wear silly dresses and swing smoking baubles around in order to communicate to the world that Jesus loves them and died for them, and if they, because of that, take notice then great. If I discover that swinging incense and wearing silly dresses is NOT helpful or in fact hinders the above, then I will have to reconsider doing so. Seriously reconsider doing so, in fact.

I think we, as the worldwide church, rather than the CofE, have to remember the 'Jesus rule'. How would Jesus handle this? What would Jesus do? How would Jesus act? What would Jesus say? Even though WWJD is such a cliche, I think if we took it serious, we would see some serious results, too.

Oh and David H., who is the bursar here at college, was very much disappointed that I haven't mentioned him on my blog so far. David is the man who is in charge of everything here and works really hard to make our lives very enjoyable whilst on campus. We love you David! :-)
