Cowboys and Indians
Where to get a cowboy's (cowgirl's?) outfit from? My placement church is running a holiday club and my first day on placement (Friday) is the last day at Holiday club - and dressing up day. I need at least a hat!! And a neckerchief. Or however that's called.
I'm looking forward to starting. Although it hasn't been a long summer break, I'm kind of keen on getting stuck into stuff again. I'm leading on the 10th and preaching on the 17th of September! Whaaa! :-)
If you want something done...
...ask a busy person.
I am starting to understand that saying. I spent these last two weeks with not much on the agenda, just random social things and writing my CTP placement report. And I feel like I've achieved naff-all. I've managed to write 1,800 words of 6,000, but somehow time is running away with me.
I'm starting to realise that I'm a person that thrives on structure. And I can't self-impose structure very well. So now I've got 10 days left to finish my report (doable) and then I start parish placement, which should at least give me some kind of structure. And then college starts again, which *definitely* will give me my structure back. I'm kind of looking forward to it.

Back in the Land of the Living
Yes, I have been deprived of t'internet for a total of 7 (seven) days. These have been the hardest days of my life.
"Good evening, my name is Katrin and I'm an internet addict"
But now I'm back! I've now spent over a month travelling around and not being home (2 weeks in Kansas City, 10 days New Wine North and seven days New Wine South) and am thoroughly fed up with it, not to mention a severe clothing shortage. So today will be an 'early to bed' day, and tomorrow will be a 'let's wash all the clothes I have' day. Hurrah, the joys of summer :-)

Information
Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don't understand our partner's requirements, or even our own. We all have a "love tank" that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.
